Adam is married to Susie and they have a teenage daughter Megan, and two sons, Ben and Zeb. They also have a bearded dragon called Stanz. Adam leads our eldership team and is responsible for stewarding the vision of the church, its teaching programmes and the general oversight of the life and RHYTHMs of the church community. Adam also maintains and develops our relationships with Relational Mission and CTIM. Susie is employed part-time and is responsible for developing our DNA Groups as well as leading our CAP Life Skills ministry.
Julian is married to Lena and they have three adult daughters. The Perry family were part of the original team that moved from Dartford to help plant Medway Family Church in 1992. Julian became an elder at MFC in September 1996. He oversees the worship team as well as being our Chair of Trustees. Lena leads our Sunday morning creche teams and together they are developing 'Eat-Pray-Love' our Rochester Missional Community.
Gordon & Natalie live in Gillingham with their three children and dog Merlin. Natalie loves blogging on spiritual themes, is learning BSL and is part of our CAP Life Skills team. Natalie enjoys gardening and creating things. Gordon is part of our staff team, serving as an elder alongside Adam & Julian. Gordon and Natalie are both qualified running coaches and in 2013 started Medway Fit. Gordon is studying for a masters in Missional Leadership with ForMission College. Together they advocate for fostering and adoption in Medway & beyond and have links with Home for Good.
Bernard & Rosemary have 3 adult children and several grandchildren. They have a passion to see the Kingdom of God made known through prayer and in healing. Bernard is a retired history teacher who is an active part of the Management Team and the Preaching Team. Together they lead our Pastoral Team that supports the church in pastoral wisdom and advice as well as running Freedom in Christ. They are responsible for much of the renovation of The Jasper Centre with Rosemary having a background in interior design.
Griff & Pam live in the Rainham area and have two adult children and enjoy their grandchildren. They run their own business in the Medway City Industrial Estate and are establishing a Missional Community with a focus on the Rainham area. They've been with the church since it was originally planted back in 1993. Griff is an active member of the worship team and preaches occasionally. Pam is part of our admin support team and together they lead our Rainham Missional Community.
Bola & Val have two young children, Caleb & Deborah. As a couple they have a heart to see healthy families producing healthy children and also love encouargaing and gathering our students. Val is a full-time accountant and is the churches Treasurer. Bola works in IT, is a trustee on the churches Management Team and serves alongside the eldership team. Together they lead 'The Ark' which is a Missional Community serving those within the Chatham Maritime & Gillingham boundaries.
Nat & Michelle are registered long-term foster-carers and have four children. Michelle was prevously a school teacher by vocation and loves working with children. Nat is a full-time business development manager and is an active part of our worship team. Nat has completed practical ministry & theology training with newfrontiers and serves alongside the eldership team, occasionally preaches and has a heart to see men become all God intended them to be.
Jim & Fleur have three children, Katie, Tommy & Maisie. Jim has undergone theological & ministry training and is actively involved on the preaching team and works alongside our eldership team. Fleur works full-time as a legal secretary. As a couple they have both been involved in supporting our Alpha Course and are both responsible for 'ME3' which is a geographical Missional Community covering the Peninsula area and it's surrounding villages.
Phil & Abi live in Chatham. Abi works for Medway Council as a trainee solicitor and heads up our Sunday Yoof team. Phil is a teacher at a school in Medway and is a keen sportsman having competed at county level as an athlete. He can often be seen running around Medway and leads as part of our Worship Team as well as serving on the PA desk.
Rhonda and Tony have a teenage son Aiden. Rhonda is part of our staff team serving the church through developing integration and discipleship pathways whilst offering evangelistic and pastoral insight. Rhonda also serves on our Preaching Team. Tony works as a consultant for various Christian streams and denominations and is also involved in the ministry of ForMission College.
Chris & Catherine have two sons and together have a passion to see people set free from debt. Chris is a head teacher and is also a trustee on our Management Team. He also runs the CAP Money Course. Catherine heads up our CAP Debt Help Centre alongside her job as a registered GP and liaises with other CAP Debt coaches across the Medway towns and local government/charitable agencies and organisations.
Becky works for Medway Council in partnership with Surestart centres and has a real passion for healthy families and good food. Becky heads up our Hospitality Team that is responsible for welcoming, refreshing and serving our guests on a Sunday as well as preparing food and meals for events throughout the year as well as in conjunction with our Pastoral team to offer light relief to those in a difficult season of life. Becky is married to Steve and they have four children.
Perry & Naomi have four young children. Perry works as a bricklayer and is the key leader for our Alpha Course team. Naomi serves as our Worship Team leader and is part of the wider Relational Mission worship team. Perry & Naomi are undertaking LEAD, a 2 year training course in practical leadership and ministry skills.
Matilda is married to Ralph, they have 3 teenage girls and are all actvely involved in various ways. Matilda heads up our Cornerstone Kids ministry that serves our 5 to 10 year olds on Sunday mornings. Ralph serves alongside Matilda as part of the Cornerstone Kids team and also serves as part of the Set-Up team. Matilda and her daughters also serve as part of our Welcome team.
Acacia leads the core-team for F.E.E.D. which is our student Missional Community. Acacia is also involved in co-ordinating the First Impressions team alongside Rhonda which helps integrate new people as they engage with CCC, in particular via Sunday gatherings. Acacia is also involved in our Sunday worship and youth teams. Acacia works full-time at Medway Hospital as part of their pharmacy team.
Damien co-ordinates our Cornerstone in Colour creative teams and many of the activities and performances they are involved in. Damien works full time in a local college where he supports students and has a role their as faith champion. Damien is involved in serving within our Sunday youth team. Damien has a passion for seeing people encouraged into their God given identity and callings.
Pat is married to Derrick. Pat leads and co-ordinates our over 50s community group Connect which meets every Thursday afternoon at The Jasper Centre. Pat loves having fun and spending time with her two grandchildren.
Jon and Gemma live in Cliffe and have been coming to Cornerstone City Church since 2015. They are approved long term foster Carers. Gemma is a keen runner and heads up our parent & toddler group Jasper Jingles. Jon is part of our CAP Debt team and serves as a Debt Coach alongside Catherine Norwood. Jon works part-time with disabled children and enjoys taking their son to watch football.
Cornerstone City Church is a company limited by guarantee as well as a charity. The charitable trust is set-up as follows: The 'members' of the company are the elders of the church, the 'trustees' or 'directors' are Chris Norwood who is a head teacher in a secondary school, Bola Mogaji who is an IT specialist, Bernard Bentall who is a retired school teacher, Griff Crouch who owns his won business, Abi Carey who is employed in a legal capacity with the local council and Julian Perry who is the Chair of Trustees and part of the eldership team. Valentina Mogaji is a trained accountant and acts as the church treasurer. Along with Adam Voke and Gordon Watson (both as elders), these people make up our Management Team who liaise and meet together regularly throughout the year to focus primarily on administration of vision and strategy, staff management, finance and legal/trust matters relating to the charitable trust, associated company and all of its assets.
